Higher Close Reading - Analysis

  • Analysis questions are identified for you as “A” in the exam
  • These questions ask you to look at the features of language used by the writer
  • Writers use : words, images, sentence structure, tone and language (register) to present their ideas to the reader.
  • In order to be successful in answering analysis questions it is essential that you study the types of questions you will be asked.
